Today, conservative officials and business leaders across the Western Slope are endorsing Cole Buerger for State Senate.

The campaign is launching a new digital video featuring Chance Jenkins, a local rancher, welder, and school board member.

"I've never voted for a Democrat in my life, but this November I'm voting for Cole Buerger. Cole isn't like other politicians - he listens to everyone."

Today our campaign is announcing the endorsement of the Colorado Professional Firefighters Association.

Cole will be a consistent voice in the State Senate for public safety and put our communities before party politics and Denver special interests.

Our campaign has released our first official campaign ad, which you can catch on YouTube and other digital channels.

The spot is about Cole's background growing up on a ranch south of Silt, and his commitment to making our region more affordable for working families like his.

Check out the ad, which we're calling "Get to Work," here, and help us keep our ads running on YouTube and connected TVs across the district with a grassroots contribution.

From Rifle to Gunnison, Aspen to Montrose, small business owners are endorsing Cole Buerger for State Senate.

The coalition includes five local small business leaders from across district 5 who endorse Cole because they trust him to be a voice for small businesses, not Denver special interests.

Cole is a fifth generation Coloradan and the owner of Rislende, a local gathering spot along the Colorado River in Silt.

Today, Cole announced endorsements from local water experts Dylan Roberts and George Sibley.

Roberts is the State Senator from District 8, and Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Sibley is the former Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District Boardmember.

“Cole Buerger knows water policy," says Sibley, "We can count on him to prioritize clean, reliable water for our rural communities."

Our radio ads are live across Senate District 5, from Rifle, to Gunnison, to Montrose.

More local leaders are endorsing Cole because they trust him to be an independent voice for our communities

The latest endorsements include Pitkin County Commissioners Kelly McNicholas Kury and Patti Clapper, former Montrose Mayor Barbara Bynum, and Cole's partner of 16 years, Glenwood Springs City Councilmember Mitchell Weimer.

This Labor Day, unions representing industrial workers, teachers, public employees, and more have endorsed Cole Buerger for State Senate.

These organizations, which include AFSCME, AFT Colorado, Colorado AFL-CIO, and Colorado WINS, know that Cole will be a champion for middle class working families across the Western Slope.

Senator Michael Bennet and Senator John Hickenlooper have endorsed Cole for State Senate!

Both senators have accomplished so much for the state of Colorado, from protecting public lands to cutting middle class taxes.

Cole recently spoke with Jeremy Morrison of the Montrose Press.

Coloradans have an opportunity to elect a senator who can actually go on offense and get things done for our rural communities.

Rural Coloradans want government out of our bedrooms and doctor's offices.

While Cole's opponent voted to make abortion a class one felony, Cole will be a champion for reproductive rights.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and State Treasurer Dave Young have endorsed Cole Buerger for State Senate.

More local leaders including Pitkin County Commissioner Francie Jacober, Gunnison County Commissioner Liz Smith, and Rifle Mayor Sean Strode have endorsed Cole. Our campaign is picking up steam.

Thanks to voters across District 5, Cole is officially the Democratic nominee to be our next State Senator.

Today, Barbara Bynum withdrew her name from the primary and endorsed Cole, paving the way for him to be the Democratic nominee.

Thanks to supporters across the district, Cole won the Colorado caucus with 58% of the vote!

It's not over yet, the primary is coming up in June.

Mayors from across the Western Slope have endorsed Cole Buerger for State Senate, including Ingrid Wussow (Glenwood Springs), Bill Kane (Basalt), Diego Plata (Gunnison), Mary Bachran (Paonia), and Ian Billick (Crested Butte).
